==General Description== Paintballhopper A device used to feed a constant supply of paintballs into a marker.

There are several types of hoppers out there.

The first hopper covered is a simple gravity-fed hopper. It uses the force of gravity to fed balls to the marker. Prone to chocking paintballs, it is the simplest, and cheapest, hopper available. And gravity never fails on field.

Another popular hopper type is an agitated hopper. To stop the many concerns of gravity fed hoppers, there is a small vibrating mechanism that, as the name implies, agitates the paintballs. This greatly reduces chocking, but requires batteries. Many times at the worst moment, and changing batteries in any field-situation is difficult at best.

The newest hopper available hopper is a force-fed hopper. Instead of relying on gravity to do most of the mechanical work, this hopper forces the ball into the marker, making for some impressive feed-rate times compared to either the other types. It also allows users to modify the traditional hopper-over-the-barrel placement to other places, such as under the barrel s seen in the Q-loader, lowering gun profile.
